Educational organizations
     • ACE (Adventures in Community Education). Supports Omak schools. Information: Carrie Anthony, 826-6231.
     • American Association of University Women. An organization for women with a four-year college degree or a graduate holding an associate or equivalent degree from a qualified educational institution. Information: Donna Sanford, 826-1151.
     • Okanogan County School Retiree Association. Serves both active and retired educators in sponsoring scholarships and legislation to improve the quality of retirees' lives and the quality of education. Meets at 11 a.m. the last Friday of September, October, and February through May at the Cariboo Inn. Information: Jennie Hedington, 422-2954; Keith Davis, 422-3787.
     • Okanogan County Child Development Association. Offers services for children ages zero to 5 and pregnant women. Executive director, Tammi Miller. Information: 826-2466.
     • Okanogan Valley Home Schoolers. Local home schooling parents available to answer questions and encourage the home schooling adventure. Annual book swap, testing, info nights and other scheduled activities. Call for meeting times or visit www.okanoganvalleyhomeschoolers.org. Information: Emily Hale, 826-1653.
     • Omak Booster Club. Supports all student activities at Omak High School. Membership costs $20 for an individual or family and $50 for a business. Proceeds from dues and fund-raisers are directed back to student activities. Information: Eric Hein 826-2832; Terri Yaksic 826-1710.
     • Omak Early Childhood Program. Affiliated with Omak School District. The program serves infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) available based on income. Information: 826-4908.

     • Paschal Sherman Indian School parent group. Information: Susan Best, 422-7734; Ryan Christoph, 422-7591.
     • P.E.O. Meets 7 p.m. first and third Tuesday most months in members' homes. Assists women in attaining higher education through loans and grants. Information: Marsha Aufenkamp, 826-3423.
