Animals
Abandoned Cat Team. Provides financial assistance for spaying and neutering of cats and dogs of low-income families and feral (wild) cats; gives information and lends equipment for the trap-neuter-return program for feral cats. Information: Dot Schank 996-3784.
Animal Foster Care. Aids abandoned cats in Okanogan County by giving foster care and eventual placement in a permanent home; shelter located at 4 Spring Coulee Road, Okanogan. Offers pet care education. Board meets at 3 p.m. the third Sunday of each month at Animal Foster Care Shelter, Okanogan. Information: 422-3364.

Okanogan-Omak Tree Board. Promotes planting and maintenance of urban trees. Information: Donna Newell, 422-4568.
Okanogan Valley Farmers' Market. Home-grown, handmade products are sold at the market 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, May through October, at Legion Park, Okanogan; 3:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays, July to October, at Civic League Park, Omak.
