     The 14-member Colville Business Council governs the 1.4 million-acre Colville Indian Reservation, about half of which is in Okanogan County. The rest is in Ferry County.
     Business council members serve two-year terms, with half of the council up for election each year. The primary election is in May and the general election is in June.
     Officers and committee chairs are elected from within the council by council members during annual reorganization in July. Newly elected council members are seated during the reorganization meeting.
     The reservation is divided into four districts: Inchelium, Keller, Nespelem and Omak, each with representatives on the council.

Parks and camping
     The Colville Confederated Tribes offer ball fields adjacent to tribal headquarters in Nespelem, and various facilities and powwow grounds next to the Nespelem Community Center.
     Camping areas open to non-tribal members include Rufus Woods Net Pens; North Twin Lakes at Rocky Point; Buffalo Lake public access area; Lake Roosevelt (Rogers Bar, Wilmont Creek, Barnaby Island and Barnaby Creek and Inchelium Ferry campground); San Poil (Keller Park, 13-mile campground, 21-mile campground and Bear Creek campground); Bridge Creek Road campground; Omak Lake mission end, Highway 155 at Coyote Creek upper level.
     The tribe also offers numerous areas for tribal members only.
     Various hunting and fishing rules apply to members and non-members. Check with the fish and wildlife department, 634-2110, for details.
