Hilderbrand leads Oroville past Curlew

Pioneers knock off Lady Warriors

— Lily Hilderbrand produced 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Oroville past Curlew, 44-27, in a non-league game Saturday.

“I was disappointed in how big a rush everybody was,” Oroville coach Mike Bourn said. “There was no patience.”

Oroville used a full-court press to gain a 14-2 lead after the first quarter.

“Defensively, we got results (early) then called it (press) off,” Bourn said. “This may be a team that needs to full-court press an entire game.”
