TONASKET The Spring Green Organic Living Fair will be May 24-26 at Howell Canyon Estate, 185 Howell Canyon Road.
The three-day festival will include music, vendors and a variety of children’s activities beginning at 9 a.m., Friday, May 24 and running through 10 p.m., Sunday May 26.
Organizer Ed Lawrence said he expects somewhere between 30 and 50 vendors, and as many as 15 musical entertainers.
“It’s definitely going to be worth it. It will be a fun, relaxing enjoyment. No stress,” Lawrence said.
“It’s definitely family friendly.”
Last year, the inaugural Spring Organic Living Fair drew 101 visitors, and Lawrence said most of those people and the vendors that participated in the event will be returning once again in 2013.
Based on early ticket sales, he expects 200 to 500 people to visit the fair this year.
Admission will be charged, but the event is a non-profit fundraiser, with proceeds going toward neurocranial research.
The focus of the weekend will be on organic living and off-the-grid living, which will include tours of the Howell Canyon Estate house. Children’s activities could include a petting zoo, zip lines and Frisbee golf.
There are also hiking trails in the area and pets are welcome, as long as they’re kept on a leash.
The music will be a variety of rock ‘n’ roll and reggae, with bands coming from different parts of the region, including Seattle, Spokane, Los Angeles and local musicians.
