OMAK A local veterinarian has begun using laser during regular therapy for horses, dogs and other pets.
Animal Hospital of Omak, 132 Columbia St., recently invested in a Class 4 therapeutic “cold” laser, which provides a non-invasive treatment method reducing pain and inflammation and promotes faster healing.
Jai Tuttle, DVM, said she has seen “absolutely wonderful results.
“It is now our standard protocol to include a single complimentary laser treatment of surgical sites after surgery.”
The laser therapy has been used on everything from larger animals such as horses and cows to nearly all varieties of house pets — dogs, cats, lizards, birds and more.
The unit is portable and treatments take 10-15 minutes.
