Chelan tops Pioneers

VanderWeide cards sterling 95 round

— The Chelan boys knocked off Omak, 378-403, in a Caribou Trail League golf match Tuesday at Okanogan Valley Golf Club.

“The day started warm and sunny, but soon turned cloudy and very windy,” Chelan coach Kirk Einspahr said.

Chelan’s Parker Nolan was medalist with an 83.

Omak’s Cameron Daigneau and Chelan’s Eli Christenson tied for second with 94s.

Omak’s lone girl, Gaby Reyes, finished with an 87 on nine holes.

Chelan’s Quinn Cooper was low for nine with a 51.

Okanogan takes on Omak on Tuesday at the Okanogan Valley Golf Club.

Chelan hosts Okanogan on Thursday.

Omak boys – 94, Cameron Daigneau. 95, Kyle Abrahamson. 104, Wyatt Utt-Picking. 110, Brandon Abrahamson and Austin Hughes.


QUINCY – Vanessa VanderWeide of Okanogan carded a 95 against Quincy on Tuesday.

There was no girls team scores since Quincy had no girls and Okanogan had two varsity girls.

Okanogan traveled with two varsity boys.

Quincy’s boys team carded 207.

Okanogan girls – 95, Vanessa VanderWeide. 100, Ana Baum.

Okanogan boys – 89, Joey Staggs. 127, Zach Mostad.
