Flash flood warning issued in Carlton, lower Methow Valley

— The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning, until 11:30 p.m., for south-central Okanogan County, specifically the areas affected by wildfires in Carlton and the lower Methow Valley.

Residents can expect heavy rain and flash flooding to begin shortly.

Meteorologists say, “move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.”

Earlier this evening the service predicted nickel size hail and 40 mph winds throughout the county.
