— Three local residents were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of dealing methamphetamine and heroin from a home on Index Street.

James Edward Grant, 33, and Cheryl Ann Grant, 60, were booked into the Okanogan County Jail on suspicion of three counts of delivery of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.

Cheryl Grant also is suspected of one count of possession with intent to deliver-methamphetamine, according to the Okanogan County Sheriff's Office.

In addition, Max Harley Lazard, 27, was booked into the Colville Tribal Jail on suspicion of four counts of prohibited acts (manufacture, cultivate, deliver).

On Tuesday, the North Central Washington Narcotics Task Force, the Sheriff’s Office, Omak Police Department and Colville Tribal Police Department executed a search warrant at 623 Index St.

The search was the culmination of an eight-month investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and heroin, Sheriff Frank Rogers said.

Detectives seized suspected methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials and cash, he said.
