OKANOGAN A panel discussion on wolves will highlight Saturday’s annual meeting of the Okanogan County Cattlemen’s Association.
The meeting starts at 10 a.m. at the Okanogan Eagles Club, 1820 N. Second Ave. It is open to the public, President Jim Hutton said.
Those on the panel will include Rep. Shelly Short, R-Addy; a representative of the state Department of Fish and Wildlife, and two ranchers.
The meeting also includes a visit by the new state veterinarian, Dr. Joe Baker; the head of the state Livestock Inspection Program, and water issues.
Elections are planned.
A soup-and-sandwich lunch is planned.
The Okanogan County CattleWomen also will meet that day.
A joint banquet is planned, starting with a 6 p.m. social hour.
