PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
(FOR CDBG PUBLIC SERVICES GRANT ONLY)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Okanogan County Commissioners in their Hearing Room located at 123 5th Ave N, Okanogan, WA on March 11, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.
The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availabillity of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Okanogan County.
$81,414 is proposed to be available annually to the county through Okanogan County Community Action Council to fund public services that principally benefits low- and moderate-income persons.
An overview of the proposed public services will be available for review at the Okanogan County Commissioners Office on business days from February 19th through March 10th, 2014 from the hours of 8 am to Noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Comments may also be submitted in writing to Okanogan County 123 5th Ave, N., Rm. 150, Okanogan, WA 98840.
Comments on the county and community action program’s past performance and use of their 2013 CDBG Public Services Grant will also be received.
The Okanogan County Commissioners’ hearing room is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibillity or interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hours advance notice.
