OMAK A porta-potty valued at $550 was damaged last week when someone poured cement down the hole.
Omak Police Department officer Andrew Bjur responded at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 6 to a report by A.C. Morgan of Morgan and Son Excavation, 19 Harris Road, Okanogan, that the biffy had been burglarized.
The toilet had been set up for contractors working on the fire-damaged Elks Lodge at 110 S. Ash St.
“I checked the portable toilet and confirmed there had been a large amount of powdered cement dumped into the tank,” Bjur wrote in his report.
He photographed the damage to the outhouse.
The cement, estimated to have come from an 80-pound bag, apparently had been dumped into the privy during the previous weekend.
“There was no further evidence located at the scene as the toilet was placed upon asphalt,” Bjur wrote. “At this point and time there is no further evidence or suspect leads.”
