Osoyoos gets money to improve Gyro Park

— The town will receive $142,587 from the British Columbian provincial government to improve Gyro Park.

City officials say the plan is to use the money to give the park a facelift, possibly adding water slides to public docks or building an amphitheater.

The money comes from the provice's Resort Municipality Initiative, which also helps fund trails, signs, public art, marinas and beach cleaning.
