Investigation under way for rash of thefts in Osoyoos

— The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are investigating a rash of break-ins.

Sgt. Kevin Schur said the suspects caused $10,000 in losses - either in damages or in stolen items - in the last week.

Two transformers were stolen last Tuesday, Schur said. And over the weekend, chainsaws, fuel tanks, clothes, a TV and other items were taken.

Two Osoyoos Coyotes hockey players reported vehicle prowls, too, he said.

Anyone with information on the crimes or the thieves is asked to call the police at 250-495-7236.
