OMAK The former Ulrich Pharmacy building has been sold, and a coffee shop and Christian book store are slated to move in.
With the exception of occasional one- or two-day events, the building at 27 N. Main St. has been vacant since the drugstore closed Sept. 30, 2011.
Omak Building Official Jake Dalton said he understands new owner Mary Stone plans to offer baked goods, espresso and Christian-themed books and other items.
Stone could not be reached for comment.
Some remodeling will be required to bring the building’s restrooms up to Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Stone has not yet applied for a building permit, Dalton said.
She also will need a business license.
Dalton said he understands a March opening is planned.
Stone purchased the building for $200,000 on Dec. 30, 2013, from Ulrich Building Partnership under the name Peace Place LLC.
