Hearings planned on ATV appeals

OKANOGAN – Two hearings are planned Monday on State Environmental Policy Act appeals concerning ATV use on county roads.

The Okanogan County commissioners will hear an appeal from the Colville Confederated Tribes at 10:30 a.m. and one from the Methow Valley Citizens Council at 1:30 p.m. in the hearing room of the Grainger Administration Building, 123 N. Fifth Ave.

A hearing on the proposed ATV ordinance is planned for 3 p.m.

Other agenda items include a hearing on a road vacation at 11:30 a.m. Monday, updates from the central services, public works and planning departments Tuesday and an Economic Alliance report at 2:30 p.m., followed by a Relay for Life presentation at 3 p.m.

Bid openings are planned at 4 p.m. Tuesday for a landfill project and 4:30 p.m. for new restrooms at the fairgrounds.

College trustees meet Wednesday

WENATCHEE – The Wenatchee Valley College trustees will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday on the main campus, 1300 Fifth St.

A work session is planned at 10 a.m. in Room 5015A of Van Tassell Hall. The regular meeting is at 3 p.m. in Room 2310 of Wenatchi Hall.

Topics include recognition of end-of-year award winners, introduction of new employees, consideration of the 2014-15 operating budget, placement of a sculpture on campus, property acquisition and a variety of reports.

Okanogan buttons up manhole project

OKANOGAN – The City Council will consider whether to accept a manhole replacement project as complete when it meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 120 N. Third Ave.

The council also will consider a contract with Cascade Foam and Coatings Inc.

Omak School Board sets special meeting

OMAK – The Omak School Board will meet in special session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district office, 619 W. Bartlett Ave.

The agenda includes a budget work session and an executive session to consider the performance of an employee or consider the qualifications of an applicant for employment.

Utility commissioners consider contract

OKANOGAN – Okanogan County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a power sales contract when it meets in special session Wednesday at district headquarters, 1331 N. Second Ave.

The meeting starts at noon.

Civil Service Commission meets Thursday

OKANOGAN — The Okanogan County Civil Service Commission will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday in the commissioners’ conference room in the Grainger Administration Building, 123 N. Fifth Ave.

Marketing board will meet in Okanogan

OKANOGAN — The Okanogan County Marketing Board will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the commissioners’ hearing room in the Grainger Administration Building, 123 N. Fifth Ave.
