Media Announcement

On Wednesday, March 5, 2014, the Omak Chronicle published a notice that the Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing to consider repealing Okanogan County Ordinances 2013-9 and 2013-10 related to the operation of off-road vehicles on county roads. The board decided to cancel the Public Hearing set on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. because there were procedural errors found in the law that needed to be addressed prior to the Public Hearing day. The board approved Ordinance 2014-3 on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, which rescinded and repealed in full both Ordinance 2013-9 and Ordinance 2013-10. Once the Board completes their review and analysis of the law they will reconsider the closed roads for off-road vehicle use. For questions, contact Public Works at 509-422-7300 or Commissioners’ Office at 509-422-7100. Published by the Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle
