REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR
Roadway Engineering and Design Services
Qualification Statements for Roadway Engineering and Design Services will be received by the Okanogan County Department of Public Works office at 1234A Second Avenue South, Okanogan, WA 98840, until 2:00pm, April 3, 2014. by email at email@example.com. This consultant work will involve Federal-Aid projects. The County of Okanogan in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, in consideration for an award.
This is a solicitation for Consultants to submit their Qualification Statements for Roadway Engineering and Design Services for the OCRP #9229-17 Conconully Road (Seven Devils Section). This project extends from MP 11.80 to MP 13.80 and calls for improvements to vertical and horizontal alignment, widening, grading, drainage, guardrail, base course, top course, and HMA surfacing.
Engineering and Design Services for this project are estimated to take place between May 1, 2014 and October 31, 2015
Scope of work may include:
-Geotechnical Engineering including Sub-surface Soil Investigations and Asphalt Coring, design recommendations
-Roadway Design including Drainage features, Guardrail, Cuts and Fills, Surfacing
-Preparing and presenting Design Options
-Preparing Final Right of Way Plan
-Preparing Plans, Specifications and Engineer’s Estimate
All work shall be performed in accordance with the WSDOT 2014 Standard Specifications, WSDOT Construction Manual and the Local Agency Guidelines. Respondents please submit two (2) paper copies of your SOQ not to exceed 15 pages each.
Each Firm’s Qualifications Statement will be evaluated and scored on the following categories:
-Firm’s experience in applicable projects
-Staff experience in applicable projects
-Experience with County Public Works projects
-Experience with WSDOT Design and Standard Specifications
-Examples of projects worked on
-Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
Selection of a Consultant will be based on the highest SOQ score. If the County chooses to interview the top candidates, the final Consultant selection will be based on the combined SOQ and interview scores. Published by the Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle
