Airplane glides into Electric City

— A small airplane bound for Sandpoint, Idaho, was forced to make an emergency landing Thursday after an engine failure.

The 10-passenger aircraft made a safe "deadstick" landing following its departure from Paine Field, officials said, noting the plane "glided" into the airport.

The new $1.9 million plane, a turbine-powered Quest Kodiak, was being flown to its new owner after being painted.
