Lease sentence suspended

Jeffrey Dean Lease of Tonasket pleaded guilty May 6 to fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.

Lease was sentenced to 364 days with 361 days suspended for 2 years and 3 days to be served.

Dick Jr. sentenced

Gordon Lester Dick Jr., 39, of Omak, pleaded guilty May 2 to Possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon and making false or misleading statements to a public servant and use of drug paraphernalia.

Dick, who committed the crimes Feb. 23, was sentenced to 9 months.

Day pleads guilty

Patrick Lee Day, 44, of Omak, pleaded guilty May 5 to possession of a controlled substance.

Day, who committed the crime Feb. 28, was sentenced to 3 months to be served concurrently with another case.

Kent sentenced

Jeannette Marie Kent, 63, of Riverside, pleaded guilty May 5 to vehicular assault.

Kent, who committed the crime Jan. 10, was sentenced to 6 months.

Meckler admits theft

Castina Lorene Meckler, of Nespelem, pleaded guilty May 5 to third-degree theft.

Meckler was sentenced to 364 days, with 319 days suspended for 2 years.

Taylor sentenced

Timothy Nicholas Taylor, 24, of Omak, pleaded guilty May 5 to second-degree assault and harassment-threats to kill.

Taylor, who committed the crimes Sept. 15, 2013, was sentenced to 6 months.

Smith pleads guilty

Kevin James Smith, 27, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty May 5 to assault in violation of a protection, restraining or no contact order.

Smith, who committed the crime Oct. 1-18, 2013, was sentenced to 18 months.

Dismissed was fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.

Fuller sentenced

Christopher Michael Fuller, 48, of Freeland, pleaded guilty May 5 to second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

Fuller, who committed the crime Aug. 14, 2013, was sentenced to 60 days.

Leon pleads guilty

Ernesto Eduardo Mendez Leon, 19, of Okanogan, pleaded guilty May 6 to possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Leon, who committed the crimes March 29, was sentenced to 30 days.

Use of drug paraphernalia and third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license were dismissed.

Austin sentenced

Harvey Leroy Austin, 54, of Twisp, pleaded guilty May 6 to second-degree vehicle prowl.

Austin was sentenced to 364 days with 353 suspended and credit for 11 days served.

Johnson pleads guilty

Douglas Glen Johnson, 47, of Tonasket, pleaded guilty to first-degree negligent driving and possession of a prescription without the dispensing container.

Johnson was sentenced to 90 days, had 88 days suspended for 1 year and was given credit for 2 days served.

Palagi case dismissed

The court dismissed with prejudice May 2 the state’s case against Joshua Caleb Palagi, 27, of Okanogan.

Keffeler sentenced

Justin Brice Keffeler pleaded guilty April 16 to first-degree trafficking in stolen property.

Keffeler, who committed the crime Nov. 1, 2013, was sentenced May 2 to 12.75 months.

Second-degree burglary and second-degree theft charges were dismissed.

Swezey sentence suspended

Gregory Phillip Swezey pleaded guilty May 5 to third-degree mistreatment.

Swezey was sentenced to 364 days with 364 days suspended for 2 years.

Restitution order entered

Sean Lee Dahlquist was ordered May 2 to pay $20 to the city of Oroville.

Harbin charge declined

The state filed April 30 notice to decline to charge Eric Allen Harbin in Superior Court and to file charges in District Court.

Carter charged

David Rollin Carter, 50, of Kent, was charged May 1 with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and use of drug paraphernalia, which allegedly occurred April 29.

Smith charged

Dustin Cody Smith, 27, of Omak, was charged May 1 with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license, which allegedly occurred April 29.

Assault alleged

Gabriel Prida Castaneda, 30, of Oroville, was charged May 7 with third-degree assault of a child, which allegedly occurred May 1.

Freiley charged

Jessica Elizabeth Freiley, 22, of Omak, was charged May 1 with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, which allegedly occurred April 29.

EGP Investment LLC filed April 10 a complaint against Reginald J. Atkins seeking $16,309.95 allegedly owed on a credit card.

Cashmere bank files complaint

Cashmere Valley Bank filed April 11 a complaint for money due under retail installment contract and for recovery of collateral against Scott A. Eisen.

The complaint sought $9,417.67 allegedly owed for a boat, motor and trailer.

State files complaint

The state filed a complaint April 11 against Cates and Erb, Inc., and Clifford Van Brunt seeking damages.

The complaint alleges Van Brunt was hauling a commercial truck and trailer with an excavator across a bridge July 24, 2006, on state Highway 155 in Coulee Dam.

The complaint alleges Van Brunt, did not have a permit to haul an overweight load, which struck the bridge and damaged braces.

The state is seeking $107,960.73 to repair the bridge plus interest, attorney fees and costs.

Foreclosure filed

Nationstar Mortgage LLC, doing business as Champion Mortgage Company, filed May 1 a complaint for deed of trust foreclosure against heirs and devisees of Betty J. Stell and Bruce R. Stell, Bruce R. Stell Jr., Thomas L. Stell, Bonnie Gail Stell, USA and state of Washington.

Best-Parisien sentences

Dreamer Anthony Best-Parisien, 14, of Omak, pleaded guilty May 7 to theft of a motor vehicle and third-degree theft.

Best-Parisien, who committed the crimes Feb. 12, was sentenced to 5 days and 12 months of community service. He also had 45 hours of community restitution converted to 6 days in detention.

In a second case, Best-Parisien pleaded guilty to minor in possession or consuming alcohol.

Best-Parisien, who committed the crime Nov. 8, 2013, was sentenced to 2 days and 6 months of community supervision.

In a third case, Best-Parisien pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and possession of marijuana by a person under age 21.

Best-Parisien, who committed the crimes April 25, was sentenced to 10 days and 6 months of community supervision.
