REPUBLIC Former Ferry County Public Utility District Commissioner Nathan Davis has the upper hand in a Ferry County Commission race.
Davis, R-Republic, received 1,709 votes, or 65.83 percent, of the ballots counted this evening. The other candidate, Leo Jenkins, D-Republic, received 887 votes, or 34.17 percent.
“Well, you know, we’re all Americans and we live in Ferry County," Davis said. "That's about all I have to say."
Davis could not be reached for comment.
Elections officials in the Ferry County Auditor’s Office said there are an estimated 24 ballots left to be counted, with more expected to arrive in the mail in the coming days.
The next ballot count if Ferry County will be at 1 p.m. Friday.
