Meeting set for 7 p.m. for Chelan Complex

Plain Community Church will host session as fire moves northwest of Leavenworth

— Fire officials will host a public meeting at 7 tonight to talk about the Chelan Complex Fires' advance into the area.

The meeting will take place at Plain Community Church, 12565 Chapel Drive.

According to fire officials, the Wolverine Fire moved into the Fisher Creek and Saint Louise Creek drainages yesterday.

Today, they are planning a burnout along Forest Service Road 8020 in the Cooper Ridge area.

In other fire updates in Chelan County:

  • First Creek — Crews will try to improve dozer lines today along the northern flank of the blaze expected to run uphill. Crews are also planning structure protection measures along Lake Chelan, Field Points Landing and 25 Mile Creek.
  • Wolverine — The wildfire moved down the Entiat drainage last night, reaching the Three Creeks area. The Chelan County Sheriff's Office will is expected to order Level 2 evacuation notices when the fire reaches Pope Creek. A spike camp has been established at Entiat Park for fire crews.
