OROVILLE - Three cougar cubs were captured in a three-day span last week, all while national television cameras were in town filming a reality program.

On Nov. 29 state Department of Fish and Wildlife officers received a call about a couple of cougars on Highway 7 just across the bridge from town.

"He (the caller) was concerned about children and pets in the area," said Sgt. Dan Christensen. "He claimed they were 50- to 60-pound cougar kittens."

The complete story is available on newsstands now in the Dec. 9 issue of The Chronicle or online in our e-edition.
