— The next .22 caliber rimfire silhouette rifle match is scheduled for Saturday at the Omak Fish and Wildlife Indoor Range, 26 old Riverside Highway.

Practice starts at 8:30 a.m. and record shooting at 9 a.m., Ralph Malone said.

“It should warm up a little by then (9 a.m.),” Malone said, adding there is a small charge.

“This match doesn’t take too long,” Malone said. “So come out and shoot, and then you will have plenty of time for your ‘honey do’ list.”

Equipment is a .22 caliber, long rifle with a tube magazine and iron sights.

“The match is 40 shots for record so bring some extra ammo for practice and shoot-offs,” Malone said. “Kids are welcome and can use any rifle they have that they are familiar with and that fits them.”

A long-range shoot is at the Tonasket Range, 100 N. Pine Creek Road, on Jan. 10.

“Save the date, and get your ammo ready,” Malone said.
