— U.S. Highway 97 is closed from milepost 213 in Orondo to milepost 235 at Chelan Falls because of a multi-vehicle crash.

The state Department of Transportation is recommending motorists use U.S. Highway 97A to get from Chelan to Wenatchee.

Details of the crash are sketchy at this point, but it apparently involves an Orondo school bus, a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.

The crash occurred at the Daroga State Park/Auvil Fruit intersection with the highway at milepost 217. The closure likely will last until 2 p.m. because of extensive crash investigation, the Department of Transportation said.
