Pomeroy eliminates Curlew boys from state

— The Curlew boys basketball team wilted in the fourth quarter and fell out of the state 1B boys basketball tournament, 51-39, to Pomeroy on Friday.

“It’s bittersweet for these guys,” Curlew coach Seth Cribby said outside a hushed lockeroom.

The Cougars trailed 28-23 at the half then pushed in front, 35-33, after three quarters.

Pomeroy won the fourth, 18-4, and advanced to a trophy game.

Curlew was sent home.
