Cascade golfers edge Omak

— Cascade edged Omak, 355 to 360, in a Caribou Trail League golf match Thursday at the Okanogan Valley Golf Club.

Brandon Abrahamson of Omak took medalist honors at 84.

Other Omak golfers included Cameron Daigneau at 89, Kyle Abrahamson at 93 and Wyatt Utt-Picking at 94.

Bailey Covey competed on the girls side, Omak coach Nick Popelier.

BANKS LAKE – Bill Norwill fired a round of 107 to lead the Okanogan boys golf team Thursday in a three-team match at Alta Lake Golf Course.

Also for Okanogan were Rowan Bauer (165) and Adam Skirko (178).

Lake Roosevelt golfers included Darin Whiteman (107) and Lucas Bird (135).

For the girls, Okanogan’s Vanessa VanderWeide fired a round of 52 over nine holes. Karina Baum shot 151 over 18 holes.

Jonell Denchel carded a 61 over nine holes.

Also competing was Moses Lake Christian Academy, which included boys medalist Sam Roeber at 97.

Okanogan next competes at district May 20 at Alta Lake Golf Course, Bulldog coach Aaron Nickelson said.

OKANOGAN – The Omak boys golf team smacked Chelan, 356 to 390, in a Caribou Trail League match May 4.

Wyatt Utt-Picking was medalist at 84.

Other Omak golfers included Cameron Daigneau at 86, Brandon Abrahamson at 91 and Kyle Abrahamson at 95.
