TONASKET — A local man is recovering after his tractor trailer overturned when it was struck by an airborne deer that had been hit by another vehicle Wednesday morning.

As of press time Friday, Lloyd E. Caton Jr., 58, had been discharged from Confluence Health – formerly Central Washington- hospital in Wenatchee.

Caton, who was hauling a load of white rock, was southbound when the crash occurred at 11:30 a.m. about two miles south of town on Highway 97.
