OKANOGAN Electricity was restored to Okanogan County Public Utility District customers within a planned outage area at around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The outage was scheduled to repair damage from the recent Okanogan Complex fire.
PUD officials had planned for the outage to end by 2 p.m., but extended it because of “unforeseen challenges affecting the repairs,” the utility said.
Another outage is planned from 11 p.m. Thursday to approximately 4 a.m. Friday.
The outages affect Methow Valley from Carlton to Mazama, Loup Loup Ski Bowl, Pleasant Valley, Malott, the Chiliwist and south of Malott to Ophir Grade.
Okanogan County Electric Cooperative, which serves the upper Methow Valley, has scheduled a Thursday outage that coincides with the PUD outage, but with a longer duration.
