Notice of Application
For a Change from surface water diversion to a ground water source as part of an environmental benefit project. The change is requested under Water Right No. S4-300720 CL.
Application is being submitted to complete the change process initiated in July of 2014 with the installation and development of groundwater well(s) to determine viability of converting from surface to groundwater. Two wells have been installed and developed and have been found to provide adequate water for continued irrigation of the Reno Ranch proeprties. Applicants wish to finalize the change process in anticipation of abandonment of the surface water diversion points.
TAKE NOTICE: That on July 24, 2015, the Reno Ranch LLC, WA filed application number OKAN-15-05 with the Okanogan County Water Conservancy Board to change the source from a surface diversion from Poorman Creek to a ground water well under Water Right S4-300720 CL.
That said right, S4-300720 CL, authorizes the withdrawal of 2.0 cubic feet per second and 120 acre-feet per year for seasonal irrigation and continuous stock water uses from a single point of diversion located on Poorman Creek within the NE¼ SW¼ of Section 10, T. 33 N., R. 10 EWM. That said claim allows for irrigation of 30 acres of land and continuous domestic purposes. That said right authorizes water to be used for seasonal irrigation purposes, together with continuous stock water within those lands within the west half of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 all located within Section 10, Township 33, Range 21 E.W.M.
That the applicant proposes to abandon said surface water diversion point in favor of two ground water wells located within the same said NE¼SW¼ of Section 10, T. 33 N., R. 10 EWM.
All within Okanogan County.
Any protests or objections to the approval of this application may be filed with the Department of Ecology and must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections; protests must be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50.00) recording fee and filed with the Cashiering Section, State of Washington, Department of Ecology, P.O. Box 47611, Lacey, Washington 98509-7611 within thirty (30) days from December 2, 2015.
Any interested party may submit comments, objections, and other information to the board regarding this application. The comments and information may be submitted in writing or verbally at any public meeting of the board held to discuss or decide on the application. This application will be on the board agenda during its regular meetings to be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 PM, at its offices located at 123 Fifth Avenue N., Rm. 150, Okanogan, WA 98840.
