PLAIN Fire officials will meet with the public again tonight to discuss the status of the Wolverine Fire as it advances on the Lake Wenatchee area.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in Plain Community Church, 12565 Chapel Drive.
This morning, officials described the fire growth as "minimal," noting that it continues to smolder.
A cold front moving in today is expected to help firefighters keep the blaze from pushing into other areas, including the Entiat River valley and Pope Creek basin.
A portion of Entiat River Road remains under a Level 2 fire evacuation notice.
Crews are also building a fireline in the Tyee Creek area, as well as thinning brush.
In the nearby First Creek Fire, crews are also building containment lines today, officials said, adding the area remains in Level 1 fire evacuation status.
