Christians in Action's Sunday lineup at the Omak Stampede

OMAK — Christians In Action will host a variety of entertainers and evangelists from across the U.S. during its annual Stampede outreach program in Triangle Park on the grounds of the Omak Stampede.

The group, based in the Omak-Okanogan area, each year hosts the Stampede outreach and also supports the Okanogan Valley's KMBI radio translator, Sonshine Cross atop Shellrock Point and various other community programs.

The volunteer group will celebrate its 44th year with music, free ice water, Bibles, Western church service and refreshments.

Today’s event gets under way at 8:30 a.m. with a Western church service. Morning Sun Yellow Pony will present the message and the Tom Parks Family band will provide music.

Local residents Tina Schmidt and Kathleen Christensen will perform at noon, followed by a brass ensemble – comprised of Roy Bowden, Rev. Chris Warren and Kathleen Christensen – at 12:30 p.m.
