TONASKET - The Ian McFeron Band will host an evening concert Friday, June 3 at the Community Cultural Center, 411 S. Western Ave.
The show begins at 7 p.m.
McFeron releases his eighth studio album Radio, produced by Grammy-nominated producer Doug Lancio and recorded at Studio G in Tennessee. In addition to guitarist Lancio, personnel on the album include pedal steel guitar player Russ Pahl, drummer Marco Giovino, bassist Chris Donohue, pianist John Dedrick, and harmony vocalist Alisa Milner.
McFeron has recorded with Doug Lancio in the past, but this is the first album project Lancio produced, engineered, and mixed from beginning to end. Lancio was the primary decision maker throughout the project, including choosing the track list from McFeron's demos and advising an acoustic sound over an electric.
"As a general rule, we chose to value immediacy and character over 'perfection', feeling that snapshots of true moments communicate the narratives best, and that authenticity is what stands up best over time," McFeron said.
McFeron continues to perform more than 180 shows per year and travels extensively throughout the U.S.
He will be joined on stage by his long time friends and musical accompanists Alisa Milner on fiddle, cello, and harmony vocals; Moe Provencher on bass and harmony vocals; and Aimee Zoe Tubbs on drums and harmony vocals.
