(2016-094 March 2) Notice of Public Hearing and SEPA Comment Period Revised Zone Code OCC 17 Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Regional Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on March 28, 2016 to take public testimony regarding Code Amendment 2015-1 OCC Title 17A the proposed revisions to the Okanogan County Zone Code, additional proposed changes to the revised zone code, and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement issued for environmental review of the revised zone code in accordance with OCC 14.04, WAC 197-11, and RCW 43.21c. .

The public hearing will be conducted on March 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, WA. Verbal testimony will be taken with a time limit of 3 minutes per speaker. Written comments may be submitted at the hearing. Written comments will be accepted prior to the hearing and may be submitted in writing or electronically to Lauren Davidson, Administrative Secretary, at 123 5th Ave N Ste. 130, Okanogan, WA 98840 or at ldavidson@co.okanogan.wa.us.

The SEPA Responsible Official has issued a Determination of Significance and ordered the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement. A draft of the Environmental Impact Statement is ready for review. The comment period for the DEIS will end on April 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Written comments on the DEIS may be submitted as instructed above or at the above scheduled public hearing. Verbal testimony regarding the DEIS will be accepted at the hearing as well.

Date of publishing is March 2, 2016.

A copy of the revised zone code, additional proposed changes to the revised zone code, and the DEIS may be viewed on the Okanogan County Planning Department website beginning March 2, 2016 at www.okanogancounty.org/planning .
