— A forecast for rain this weekend caused the final fastpitch games in the Central Washington League tournament to be moved from Saturday to Friday afternoon at Ephrata High School, Okanogan athletic director Steve Chamberlin said.

The change, announced around 11 a.m. Thursday, will find Okanogan taking on Tonasket and Brewster playing Oroville at 4 p.m. in consolation semifinals.

The winners will play around 6 p.m. for the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds to state.

“Hopefully, we miss the rain and get this one completed,” Chamberlin said in an email.
