Average retail gasoline prices in Washington have fallen 3.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.78 per gallon on June 19, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,666 gas outlets in Washington.

ATVs ride into Conconully

ATV riders flocked to town over the weekend for the first-ever Conconully ATV/UTV Jamboree. The June 8-11 event drew more than 100 registered riders, said Mayor Sam Martin. Some riders were contacted by U.S. Forest Service and state Department of Fish and Wildlife officers doing enforcement patrols.

Priest accused of sexual abuse of a minor

A local parish priest has been removed due to allegations of sexual abuse. The Rev. Gustavo Gomez Santos, 51, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, has been removed from public ministry in the Roman Catholic Church, Yakima Diocese Bishop Joseph Tyson said yesterday.
