A 26-year-old Omak man was severely injured in a vehicle accident May 26 about a half-mile south of Nespelem on Highway 155.
Jayson Paul Short, 26, was northbound around 4:52 a.m. when his vehicle went off the road's left side, struck a guardrail, rolled over and came to rest on its top, according to a Washington State Patrol accident memo.
Short was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane with head and neck lacerations.
A passenger, Joshua R. Duran, 18, Spokane, also suffered head and neck lacerations. He was transported to Coulee Community Hospital, Grand Coulee.
Neither man was wearing a restraint, according to the patrol announcement.
Short's car was destroyed.
