Okanogan County Area 1
& 2 Crew Shop Project
Sealed bids for the New
Area 1 & 2 Crew Shop at
216 Sand Flat Rd, Omak
WA will be received until
11:00 AM, Monday, June 9,
2008, either by mail or hand
delivered, at the Office of
the Okanogan County Board
of County Commissioners,
located on the first floor of
the Okanogan County
Grainger Administration
Building, at 123 Fifth Avenue
North, Room 150, Okanogan, Washington. If proposals are mailed, they must
be received by the Post Office in Okanogan, Washington no later than Midnight on
the last working day prior to
the bid opening date. Notification by the Post Office will
be considered as actual receipt of the bid by the
County Commissioners.
Bids delivered in person will
be received only at the
County Commissioners reception desk on or before
bid opening date of Monday,
June 9, 2008.
Project is located near the
intersection of Highway 97
and Sand Flat Road, City of
Omak, in Okanogan County,
Washington as indicated on
plans. Project includes a
20,000 SF pre-engineered
metal building heavy equipment maintenance shop and
a 5,000 SF pre-engineered
3-sided metal building equipment storage shed. Utility installation for building and
shed has been provided by
others. All work shall be
done in accordance with attached Invitation to Bid, Bid
Proposal, plans, general requirements, general and
supplementary conditions
and the 2008 Standard
Specifications for Road,
Bridge and Municipal Construction and subsequent
Amendments. The Contractor shall provide all labor,
material, tools, equipment,
fees, licenses, permits
(except for building permit
which is provided by Okanogan County), taxes, insurance and any and all other
components necessary to
complete the Project.
Scope of Work includes:
Base bid for all construction
of heavy equipment shop
and storage shed, clean-up,
signed permits, as-built
drawings and operation and
maintenance manuals in accordance with contract documents. Additive bid items
include perimeter fencing, 2
1/2 ton overhead traveling
crane and electronic security
system.
This Public Works Project is
subject to current Washington State prevailing wage
rates, as required in RCW
39.12.020, that applicable at
the time of bid opening.
The work shall be done in
accordance the Title VI Program of Okanogan County
and with Title VI of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964, 79 Stat.
252, 42 USC 2000d to
2000d-4 and Title 49, Code
of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation,
Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted
programs of the Department
of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby
notifies all bidders that it will
affirmatively ensure that in
any contract entered into
pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined
at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to
submit bids in response to
this invitation and will not be

for 2.51 miles. The improvements include installation of a 10' span box culvert, the construction of cement treated base, and the
application of 2" of Class 1/2" HMA. All work shall be
done within the existing
roadway with the exception
of ditch regrade on the upstream and downsteam
ends of the box culvert.
