A memorial race will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 for Buck Strauch, long-time race organizer who lost his battle with cancer last Saturday.
The event will be held at Eagle Track Raceway on Pendry Road about a half mile south of Republic on State Route 21.
People are invited to participate in the 80-lap open race in which all types of cars will compete against each other.
Anyone who has a special or interesting story about Buck is also invited to contribute these, an organizer said.
There will most likely be a break between the laps, she said.
