Liberty Bell teams return with state 2B trophies

     Liberty Bell's boys' basketball team finished third and the girls' team finished seventh at the state 2B tournament March 1 at the Spokane Arena.
     The boys' team produced four players scoring in double figures to win 58-49 over Riverside Christian in the trophy game.
     The Mountain Lions sealed the win by outscoring the Crusaders 16-9 in the fourth quarter.
     For the Lions' Connor Walsh scored 16 points while Louis Donnet (seven rebounds), Tre Aherns and Cody Hutchinson each scored 13.      The Liberty Bell girls fell 48-43 to King's West in Saturday's trophy game.
     The Mountain Lions trailed by as much as nine in the fourth quarter to tie the game with three and a half minutes to go.
     Leading the way for the Lions was Shelby Scott, who sank nine of her team-leading 20 points in the final period.
