As of the first count Tuesday night, levies are passing across the board from Nespelem, Omak, Tonasket and Oroville, according to online election results. So far, almost 41 percent of voters sent in their ballots.
Nespelem is passing by the largest margin, with 79 percent saying yes. The district will be bringing in a total of $319,000 with the four-year levy they proposed.
Omak's two levies are both passing. The replacement maintenance and operation levy is a yes with about 56 percent of the vote. The amount has not changed from the last two-year levy, and will be for $2.98 per $1,000 of assessed property value, bringing in a total of $1,488,093 per year.
Omak's technology levy has 54 percent approval so far. This levy would cost taxpayers 57 cents per $1,000 assessed property value, bringing in $284,635 per year.
In Tonasket, the capital levy for educational technology improvements has garnered 59 percent of the vote at this time. This levy is for $783,567, which is $2.22 per $1,000 of assessed property value. With the passage of this levy, the state provides equalization monies in the amount of $591,513 per year.
Oroville's replacement maintenance and operation levy is pulling approval with almost 59 percent of the vote as well. It asks for $2.22 per $1,000 of assessed value, with a total amount of $771,000.
According to the auditor's office, 500 ballots have yet to be counted, as well as whatever may come in the mail today. Votes will be certified March 26.
