Egg hunts scheduled for Easter weekend
OKANOGAN (Okanogan Women's Club,GFWC)
     The Okanogan Women's Club, GFWC, will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Okanogan Sports Complex.
     This is the 44th year of the event, which is paid for with money raised by the group throughout the year, according to organizer Laurie Swayze.
     Children will search for their share of 2,000 candy-filled eggs that will be strewn on the Okanogan Sports Complex.
     The event is open to children ages 1-10 with prizes in categories for ages 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. Children ages one to four years will have a chance at winning sand toys or bubbles. Children ages five to 10 will be seeking out two silver and one gold egg for each category, which will bring a small cash prize, according to Swayze.

OKANOGAN (Okanogan County Spring Fair)
     The Okanogan County Fairgrounds will host the Spring Fair Home and Garden Show March 21 and 22. Since this also will be Easter weekend, the Omak Masonic Lodge and Omak Jr. Civic League will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt in the courtyard area on Saturday.
     Eleven booths are still available, but they're going fast. Some of the vendors will be: Hamilton Farm Equipment, Sunrise Chevrolet, Bob Feil Boats and Motors, S & H Manufactured Homes, Timber Quest, Concrete Creations, OK Truck and Tractor, Cramer's Home Furnishings, Home Depot, Pampered Chef, Xtreme Power Sports and dozens more.
     A 10- by 10-foot. booth is $50 to rent. Banners can be placed on outside walls or fences for an additional $50 fee.
     Admittance to the event is free and parking is free. Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Both days close at 6 p.m.
     The Easter Egg hunt on Saturday will be at 10 a.m., with prizes for at least the top three slots. Prizes will be new books for different age groups.

CONCONULLY
     Youngsters through age 12 are invited to Conconully State Park's day area to hunt Easter eggs, win prizes and explore fire trucks at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22. This annual event is sponsored by the Ladybugs of Conconully and the Conconully Volunteer Fire Department.
     Hunting areas will be roped off and designated by age. Plastic eggs will be filled with candy, coins, trinkets and tickets entitling finders to special holiday toys, an announcement said. Awards will be given for most eggs found in each age division.
     There will be no charge to participate. All children will receive holiday candy.

REPUBLIC
     The annual Eagles Easter egg hunt for children 12 and under will start at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at the RV park behind Eagle Track Raceway in Republic.
     There will be lots of eggs with baskets and other prizes to be given away, organizers say.
     Hot dogs and some drinks will be available at 1 p.m. until they are gone, they say.
     The event is presented to Eagles Aerie 68. Volunteers are needed to help make baskets, cook and color eggs, organizers said.
