Okanogan School Board received March 26 the resignation of Okanogan High School girls' basketball coach Darin Radke and a retirment announcement for teacher Gordon Pitts.
In Radke’s resignation letter, he said his decision was not easy, but he wanted to spend more time with his family during the winter and summer months.
In Radke's seven years of coaching, he said he "had an enjoyable and memorable experience and the student athletes, both past and present, have been such great kids and a pleasure to work with."
Radke will continue to teach match.
Gordon Pitts plans to retire as a fifth grade teacher from Okanogan after 31 years.
Pitts also was a junior high coach in track, baseball and football. He said he wanted to continue coaching, according to superintendent Richard Johnson.
