     William “Billy” Knutz, 37, Malo, died Wednesday, March 26, after an accident in Republic.
     Knutz was part of a Ferry County PUD work crew felling a tree on South Clark Avenue when things went wrong, according to John Friederichs, PUD director.
     Knutz was hurt and later died at Ferry County Memorial Hospital, he said.
     Various investigators were to be in Republic Thursday, March 27, to study the mishap, he said.
