Registration for Apple Hill Art Camps this summer begins today, May 1, for first-time campers and May 2 for return campers.
Students are encouraged to register early as camps fill quickly, according to an announcement from registrar Jody Olson.
All camps are open to all students in the target age group, Olson said.
All camps feature whole arts programs, including drama, dance, music, writing, visual arts, sculpture and art directed crafts, according to the announcement.
Instructors are gifted teaching artists from local communities, according to the announcement.
The Omak camp will be June 16-20 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church. Registrar Emily Hale can be reached at 826-1653.
Tonasket camp will be June 23-27 at the Community Cultural Center. Registrar Elizabeth Phares can sign students up at 486-4341.
For both Omak and Tonasket, camps will be from 9-10 a.m. for 4- and 5-year-olds; 10:30 a.m. to noon for 6- and 7-year-olds, and 1-4:30 p.m. for 8- through 10-year-olds, the announcement continued. Cost is $1 per child per day.
For 11- through 16-year-olds, senior camp will be held at the Omak United Methodist Church because of construction at the cultural center in Tonasket. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7-11.
Cost is $5 per child per day. Registrar Olson is available at 322-4071. Carpools from Tonasket can be arranged, said organizers.
Scholarships are available, and donations will be accepted. More information is available from Olson.
