Omak mayor Dale Sparber is doing well after suffering a heart attack on May 4, according to city administrator Ralph Malone.
     On Sunday, Sparber was driven to Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak, where he was treated before being transferred to Wenatchee's Central Washington Hospital, where he underwent quadruple bypass surgery late that night.
     Sparber is still recuperating at the hospital, but is in good spirits, according to Malone.
     "He was in good humor and his voice was strong," said Malone, who said he received a call from Sparber Wednesday. "I expect that he'll be coming home this weekend."
