A Tonasket man, 25, was arrested May 13 after an incident in which he allegedly threatened another man and fired a shotgun.
Okanogan County sheriff Frank Rogers said the suspect, who had a shotgun with him, was riding an all-terrain vehicle on Anglin Road when he was contacted by another man. The two exchanged words and the suspect later drove to the victim’s residence, said Rogers.
While there he allegedly pointed the shotgun in the air and threatened the other man, telling him, “"If you call the sheriff that will be your last."
The suspect then drove off, but the victim told deputies he heard the shotgun fire in an unknown direction, said the sheriff.
Deputies contacted the suspect, who was arrested and booked into the county jail on suspicion of harassment, felony threats to kill and unlawful carrying or handling of a firearm, said Rogers.
The same day, deputies also were called to the south end of the county for a trespassing complaint involving an ATV, Rogers said.
