Big catches of the day also earned a prize. Cliff Applebee and Jim Barker won the largemouth category, and Claude Roberts and Fred Bender won the smallmouth category, said Hawkins.
From 8 a.m. to the end of the last game at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, 53 teams battled on the basketball court for the three-on-three championships, according to organizer Jon Neal.
