Two people were injured July 6 in a two-vehicle accident south of Oroville on Highway 97.
A pickup truck driven by Thomas R. Buckmiller, 64, Oroville, was headed south, as was a motorcycle driven by Stanley V. Anderson, 55, Spokane. The two collided in the northbound lane as Buckmiller was turning left and Anderson was passing, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Anderson received facial lacerations and was taken by aid car to North Valley Hospital, Tonasket. A passenger, Amanda R. Proctor, 24, Deer Park, was taken to North Valley for treatment of an injured left ankle, the patrol reported.
About $1,500 damage was done to the motorcycle. The truck received minor damage and was drivable, the patrol reported.
Buckmiller wore a seat belt; both motorcyclists wore non-approved helmets, according to the patrol.
