Two men from Fresno, Calif., were injured Sept. 5 when their motorcycles collided with a deer on Highway 97 about two miles south of Tonasket, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Erik L. Rowden, 42, and Christopher Burback, 47, were riding south when the deer ran into the roadway. Both vehicles struck the deer, according to the patrol report.
Each motorcycle received about $1,500 damage.
Both men were wearing helmets.
Rowden was taken by aid car to North Valley Hospital for treatment of chest and back injuries. Burback was taken to North Valley for treatment of hip and ankle injuries.
